Welcome

Hey all. I'm Andre Hill, Associate Director of the Undergraduate Admissions Office at UNC Greensboro. It's my pleasure to welcome you here to our virtual open house session today. Throughout the past few months, we've all been tested in ways we've never been tested before. We've all had to make changes in our daily lives, do things that are unfamiliar to us, and learn in ways we would have never imagined. But the thing is, we did it. You did. You've shown us, me, the admissions team, and the leaders at UNCG time and time again, that you are capable of succeeding even in the face of extreme adversity. You've shown us that you are resilient, and compassionate. And most of all, you have proven that you are capable of rising above challenges, and are prepared to make meaningful contributions to our shared world. You are destined to be changemakers. And it's an honor to be a part of the conversation as you decide where you want to go next. Throughout our time together in this session, and any others that you attend, I hope you begin to see yourself as a Spartan. See yourself on campus, having deep discussions with classmates, learning from interesting professors, joining clubs, doing research, and creating lasting memories. I hope you'll picture yourself as a part of the genuine culture of care that UNCG is built upon. Remember that you are the one who matters the most to us. We will be with you at every step of the way throughout your journey through college. We know that you'll find your way here and we can't wait to meet you. Now, get ready to make UNC Greensboro your new home.
