The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest of UNC Greensboro academic units. Students here are engaged in hands-on learning and research in more than 25 different degree programs that encompass the arts, humanities, and social sciences, as well as hard sciences like technology and mathematics. Some of our specific offerings include the only Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Architecture in North Carolina. We're one of the few computer science programs in the state offering an accelerated path to earn a Bachelor's and Master's degree in only five years. And we offer a research focus psychology degree that includes a unique early scientist program, which gives select students access to real psychology research starting as early as their freshman year. Through our diversity of offerings, the College of Arts and Sciences provides an education that will give you the skills and knowledge needed for success in the complex and changing world that you will face after graduation.
Across all of the college's academic programs, your professors will be accomplished researchers, scholars and artists. Many with national and international reputations. That means you could be getting new insights from professors who are making breakthrough discoveries in medicinal chemistry or learning about political science from a faculty member who literally published the book on voting behavior. The best part about the student experience here is that as accomplished as they are, your professors are also enthusiastic and dedicated teachers. Whether leading a classroom discussion or guiding students in a research lab, their teaching and mentoring is informed and enlivened by their personal involvement in expanding the boundaries of knowledge in their field. No matter where your career takes you, the College of Arts and Sciences offers its students a flexible skill set and a wide ranging multidisciplinary perspective. The 21st century may be full of unexpected challenges, but your experience here will prepare you to embrace those challenges as well as the opportunities they bring with them.
