Our newly opened 180,000 square foot nursing and instructional building is adding state of the art technologies into the mix that lead to extraordinary outcomes. UNCG's nursing alumni are successful with high licensure and certification pass rates, graduation rates, employment rates, and more. The School of Nursing offers a traditional pre-licensure BSN, as well as an RN to BSN program.

The undergraduate programs prepare students for professional nursing based on inquiry, caring, and standards of practice. Graduates are thoroughly prepared to function independently and collaboratively within the healthcare system. The prestigious reputation of our school means that admission to our nursing program is in high demand. Students admitted to UNCG apply separately to the upper level of the nursing program in a competitive secondary admission process. Due to the exclusivity of this program, successful graduates experience phenomenal employment rates with an average of 99% employed within one year of graduation. Once admitted, students are trained in nursing technologies that they put to work right away. Learning is done in simulation labs that provide students with hands-on training and prepares them for real world scenarios that they can expect to face while working with patients. Students train in scenes customize to simulate adult and pediatric surgical ICUs, community and home health environments, and labor and delivery and maternity care environments. UNCG nursing students are involved on campus and in our community as well. There are opportunities to gain leadership skills as part of our academic student organizations. And our students often assist with healthcare education programs and clinics for underserved groups in our local communities.
